Great thriller which constantly gets reduced to it's nude scenes
Author: sposocke The title says it all, Basic Instinct is one great thriller which I rate higher than "Se7en" or similar apparently top notch films in this category. It has loads of suspense, high tension, catchy and memorable dialogues, great actors, fabulous music score and an excellent director who didn't get scared off by protesters and other hypocrites. And yes, they are hypocrites in my mind, people who watch this movie are meant to be mature, thus denying sex is either hypocritical or prudish. If that's not your thing okay, then don't watch it but don't rate it low just because you can't handle it. Because the sex scenes (interrogation scene) are really just a few minutes long
but make up a large part of Catherine's character and are a fundamental part of the plot. The film would be unthinkable without them but shouldn't be reduced to them either. Naturally don't watch it with your kids, but if you're not scared of some nudity and like thrillers you'll love this one since it keeps one on the edge right until the end.

ACTOR Sharon Stone is in strife after claiming the Chinese earthquake which claimed the lives of 80,000 people was "karma".
Stone made the not so smart statement while on the red carpet in Cannes.
She was asked if she had heard about the disaster that hit China recently, and her answer was:
"Of course I have. Well you know at first I thought I'm not happy with the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans … and I've been concerned with should we have the Olympics because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama who's a good friend of mine.
" And then all this earthquake and stuff happened and I thought, 'Is that Karma, when you're not nice and the bad things happen to you?' "
In a gaffe of similar proportion, sex tape star Kim Kardashian was videoed making a joke about the Burmese cyclone which claimed the lives of 134,000 dead and left 2.4 million in need of aid.
